Camry's Car Accident

This past saturday my sister, Camry and her boyfriend Zach, were in a major car accident. There were 4 cars involved. Two people died (the man who caused the accident and another women from a different car). Camry was taken to the hospital to get some testing done. She broke the tip of her finger and has lots of bruising and cuts all over from the glass. Zach had some bruising, burns from the air bag on his face, and they dug some pieces of glass from his head. They are both doing ok, just in lots of pain. Here is the link for the news update on their accident:

Camry's car is the silver one on the left end(it looks like a big pile of scrap metal). She is also the one they say was taken to the hospital. I am so grateful they are safe and ok.

Seriously? Why?

So the other day I took Rowen with me to the grocery store. We were in the produce section when a lady that worked there comes up and tells me what a cute baby I have and then....TOUCHES HIS FACE!! AAHHH!!! This is not the first time this has happened. Why do strange people think that is ok to touch my baby's face? Seriously, I don't know them nor do I know where there hands have been or if they are sick and have some kind of contagious disease. Yesterday we were sitting in church and the lady sitting behind us kept complaining about how sick and miserable she was and coughing all over the place without covering her mouth! Ewe! And as I was sitting there listening to the speaker, all I could hear was cough, cough, cough, coming from EVERYONE in the congregation! I don't understand why you wouldn't just stay home and spare the rest of us from getting your nasty germs! We ended up leaving right after sacrament meeting because I didn't want people touching Rowen and getting him sick! So I am the only first time mom that feels this way? Am I just being super paranoid and need to relax a little? Or is there anyone out there who feels the same way I do?

Baby Row Row Update!

Ok I know I am way overdue for updating pictures of Rowen. He is not wanting to take naps for very long during the day now, so when he does take them I feel like I need to get other stuff done around the house.

Rowen is almost 13 weeks old now. When we took him to his 2 month check up he weighed a little over 13 pounds and was 24 inches long. Today I weighed him and he was almost 15 pounds! He is getting so big. Yesterday he talked to daddy on the phone and it was so cute. He was smiling and cooing at Scott so much. He was so excited to hear daddy's voice. Also, yesterday Rowen rolled over for the first time all by himself. He looked so startled after he did it, I guess he had no idea what had just happened. He is also sleeping so well at night. He is sleeping between 6-9 hours every night. I love it! This little stinker bug is growing up so fast. He is getting to be at such a fun age but it makes me so sad that he is getting bigger. I want him to stay little for a long time. Anyways here are some pictures of Baby Row Row......

We have been having a hard time doing things around the house when Rowen is awake because he thinks he needs to be held all the time, so we started putting him in this baby carrier so we can get things accomplished. He loves it!

He got some new groovy dudes (that's what my mom calls them) because he hates having the sun in his eyes. He will actually keep them on without fussing.

Rowen Scott Garvin

Rowen Scott Garvin decided to come 3 weeks early. He was born November 23rd, 2009 at 12:19 PM. He weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. He decided he wanted to come early and then when it was actually time for him to come out he wanted to stay in mommy's tummy and the doctor had to use the vacuum to get him to come out. He is such a sweet little boy and mommy and daddy love him soooo much!
