My oh my!

Yesterday, Scott and I went to my first ultrasound. I cannot get over how amazing it was. So let me just say we got some news we definately weren't expecting..............

When we walked into the room the ultrasound tech automatically asked us, "If I can see the sex of the baby today would you like to know what is was?" Uh.... ya! Was both of our responses. But since I am only supposed to be 13 weeks we didn't think we were going to be able to tell just yet. So I laid down and she started to do her thing. When she zoomed in on the baby I could definately tell right away what it was without her saying one word............. BOY! Yep, it's another boy for the Garvin family. She also said according to the baby's size that I was measuring farther along then we thought and that I should actually be due on December 12th! Man, they really need to make up their minds with these due dates! Oh, and might I add that this is going to be the most relaxed and chill little boy ever. We kept trying to get him to wiggle and move around and he did a little, but he was content with just laying back and relaxing, without a care in the world. Scott says he is going to be like his uncle Charles (Scotts brother).

So we finally broke the chain for my side of the family. As far as I can't think of everyone in my family, and I mean EVERYONE, has always had a girl first. Not me! But as far as Scott's family goes, boys are very popular. Scotts parents will have 7 granchildren by the end of this year and 6 are boys!

Let me just add that it seems a mothers intuition IS always right! I just knew we were having a boy but Scott still had hope it was a girl. But we are both very excited and now I can start picking out colors and themes for the baby's room! Yay! Thats always the fun part.

Proof that it is definately a boy!

Doctor Visit

I was NOT liking the OB I was seeing so I decided to switch to my sister's OB. She told me she loved him so I trusted that she would have good judgement. Today I had my first appointment with him. He is so great!! I love him too! I got to hear the baby's heartbeat again, which I will never get tired of listening to. My previous OB told me that my due date would be December 23rd but Dr. Huish told me today that my due date is December 25th! Christmas! I really don't want to have the baby on Christmas so he told me we can talk more about getting the baby to come a little earlier when the time comes. Oh! I also have an ultrasound this coming thursday so I will update everyone on that later!

My 12 week picture!

So here I am at 12 weeks exactly. It doesn't look like I am pregnant really just getting chubby. I really hate this stage. I almost wish I just looked pregnant!

12 weeks!

So to start off. I know I haven't posted any pictures lately but my computer got a virus and I haven't loaded the software back on to my computer to be able to load my pictures. Anyway, I will post them tonight hopefully (I still have ones from California)

Ok so today I am officially 12 weeks and into my 2nd trimester! Yay! It still feels kind of wierd knowing I have something growing inside of me, especially since I can't feel it yet. It just basically looks like I have gained weight (no pregnant belly yet). Scott and I are so excited to have this little one join our family soon.

Scott and I have been hoping for a little girl and according to the chinese pregnancy calender AND Scott's little niece Ava, thats what we are having. And at first all I could think about and look at was little baby girl things. But lately I have had this wierd feeling that we are having a boy. I thought if we have a boy first I was going to be super upset! But about 2 weeks ago I came to terms that if we have a boy, it will still be just as fun and we will still love it just as much (obviously). So now I am happy with either or. Anyway, I am still hoping for a little girl (and I know you are too Holly lol) but we shall see if a mothers intuition is always right! We should find out in about 8 weeks.
